The movie started the box office journey with an opening day collection of Rs 2.5 crores and went on to see a hike during the opening weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sarfira made a collection of Rs 4.25 crores on day 2 (first Saturday), Rs 5.25 crores on day 3 (first Sunday). However, the first Monday (day 4) came with a drop of over 70% and Sarfira minted Rs 1.45 crores. The 'Soorarai Pottru' Hindi remake saw a hike on day 5 (first Tuesday) as it raked in Rs 1.87 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 15.32 crores.
