A source close to the film told Bollywood Hungama that it is being made on a massive budget of Rs 835 crore. "Ramayana is not just a film but an emotion, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a global spectacle. The USD 100 million (₹835 crore) budget is just for Ramayana: Part One. Namit Malhotra plans to expand this further as the franchise grows. The idea is to provide the audience with a visual treat featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram," the source said. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.

The sixth suspect in the firing incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Mumbai residence last month has been arrested in Haryana. The Mumbai Crime Branch apprehended the suspect, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in Fatehabad, Haryana, on Tuesday. The accused, identified as 34-year-old Harpal Singh from Fatehabad, was taken into custody by the Mumbai Crime Branch team on Monday evening, an official reported.

If he does this, a decision of the society to forgive him will be considered."
