Exclusive! Munjya Choreographer Vijay Ganguly On Sharvari Wagh's 'Taras' Becoming A Rage: It Was So Unexpected

Renowned choreographer Vijay Ganguly is riding high on the success of four-hit songs released in the past month, each spanning different genres and films. Vijay shared his thoughts on this unexpected yet exhilarating achievement.

"It's a great feeling, and the best part is that this was so unexpected," Vijay remarked. "Ishq Vishk, the song, was already a hit with Shahid back in the days, so it was instantly popular. But Soni Soni from the same film received even more love from everyone, and that is amazing! Even Taras from Munjya was so loved. We shot Taras in just 12 hours, so when a song that challenging is appreciated, it's definitely a great feeling."

The choreographer also spoke about predicting if a song will become a chart-topper. "In today's time, knowing if something is going to work or not is like guessing the number of stars in the universe! When we hear a song, all we know is if it's good and fun to dance to. After that, we choreograph it, hoping it reaches a larger audience. Once the song is shot and edited, it's up to fate and how the audience responds to it. So many times we feel we have done some good work, and it goes unnoticed."

Vijay recalled an instance with the song Mein Parwana from the film Pippa. "We knew we had created something very nice, and we were hoping it would reach a larger audience than it did. But again, hits and misses are a part of what we do, and we continue to create with the hope that it is loved by everyone."
