Fawad Khan Returns To Bollywood With Abir Gulaal

Fawad Khan will be featured in the upcoming movie Abir Gulaal. Along with him, Vaani Kapoor will be seen in the lead role. From the name, it seems that the movie is a romantic drama. Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and is produced by Vicke B. Agarwal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy under the banner A Richer Lens, Indian Stories, and Aarjay Pictures.

Talking about the movie, Aarti said to Variety, "The film explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal, with love blossoming as an unexpected consequence." In 2016, an unofficial ban was announced on Pakistani artists in India. However, later in 2023, Bombay High Court dismissed the petition of officially banning Pakistani actors from working in India.

The shotting of Abir Gulaal began on September 29, 2024. The movie has London backdrop. Aarti says, "Fawad has a massive global fan base, an we anticipate that audiences and his fans will wholeheartedly embrace this film, as it showcases him in his most endearing role yet." She adds, "The chemistry between Fawad and Vaani is expected to light up the screen with their captivating performances and undeniable charm."
