Exclusive! Fighter Villain Rishabh Sawhney Reveals How He Actually Stepped Into Shah Rukh Khan's Shoes

Rishabh Sawhney made his big screen debut with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter. The actor plays the role of the main antagonist in the film, and hs been grabbing everyone's attention. Even before the film had released Siddharth Anand had revealed in an interview that Shah Rukh Khan has liked the villain's look.

Well, Filmibeat recently interacted with Rishabh and when we asked him about Shah Rukh Khan's praise, the actor said, "Everything that is happening, it's very overwhelming, and when I read that Shah Rukh sir has said this about my look, I was flying after that. He is one actor I want to work with; it's there in my bucket list, and getting a compliment from him, who is the ultimate source of inspiration for us outsiders, it touched my soul."

Rishabh Sawhney Wore Shah Rukh Khan's Shoes From Pathaan

"Let me tell you a fun fact. So, when I was doing costume trials, the styling people told me that one pair of shoes, was the same shoes that Shah Rukh sir wore in Pathaan. So, I was like now I am only wearing these shoes, please keep the other shoes aside, I won't wear any of them. So, I only shot in those shoes," he added.

When told him that was actually stepping into SRK's shoes, Rishabh excitedly said, "Exactly, that was an amazing feeling. One of the best feelings I could ever gotten."

Talking about the praises that he has been receiving from his fans, the actor said, "There's not even one hate message. People are only saying good things and showering love on me. In the movie, we are showing that we are against Pakistan, but I am getting love messages from Pakistan for the portrayal of my character. So, even I was shocked why I am not getting hate messages, but I happy about it."

Before Fighter, Rishabh had played a small role in the series The Empire, and worked as an assistant casting director.
