FIR Filed Against Shah Rukh Khan's Josh Co-Star Sharad Kapoor Following Sexual Harassment Allegations

Sharad Kapoor Controversy: A FIR has been lodged against Sharad Kapoor, an actor renowned for his roles in movies such as 'Josh’, 'LOC Kargil’, and 'Lakshya’, following allegations of sexual harassment. The complaint registered by a 32-year-old woman at the K police station in Mumbai, accuses Kapoor of inappropriate behavior and forcibly touching her. The incident reportedly took place at Kapoor's residence, where the actor allegedly attempted to misbehave with the complainant.

The woman, who came into contact with Kapoor via Facebook, shared that their conversation progressed from social media to video calls. During these interactions, Kapoor expressed his desire to meet her under the pretext of discussing a shooting project. He subsequently sent her his location, instructing her to come to an office in Khar. Upon her arrival, however, she discovered it was actually his home. A man greeted her at the door, and Kapoor then called her into his bedroom from inside the house.

Following the incident, the victim received a WhatsApp message from Kapoor, filled with offensive language. Distressed by the encounter, she confided in a friend who then assisted her in filing a complaint against Kapoor at the Khar police station. As of now, Kapoor has not issued any statements regarding the allegations against him.

The charges against Sharad Kapoor are severe, invoking sections 74 (Assault or use of criminal force against a woman), 75 (sexual harassment), and 79 (insult the modesty of any woman) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita. This case has brought to light serious accusations against an actor known for his contributions to the Indian film industry, yet no comment has been made by Kapoor or his representatives concerning the matter.
