Govinda Health Update Post Bullet Injury: In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actor-turned-politician Govinda was rushed to the hospital after he accidentally injured himself with his own licensed gun. On Tuesday early morning (Oct 1), Govinda was getting ready to fly down to Kolkata for an event when his gun slipped from his hands, fell down and accidentally got fired. As a result, the bullet hit the actor below his knee.

Bollywood star and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was admitted to the ICU after his accidental bullet injury. As per reports, doctors have extracted the bullet and the actor is now out of danger. According to a report published by NDTV, the 'Hero No 1' actor released an audio clip, which was sent to the media, post the surgery and thanked his fans for the prayers.

"Namahskaar, pranaam, Main Hoon Givinda. Aap sab logon ka aashirwaad aur maa Baap ka aashirwaad hai aur Guru ki Krupa ke wajah se... mujhe jo goli lagi thi, who nikaal di gayee hai. Main dhanyawad deta hoon yahaan ke doctor kaa ...aadarniya doctor Agarwaal ji kaa aur aap sab logon ki praartahana jo hai... aap logon ka dhanyawaad", the actor was heard saying.

As per reports, the incident took place earlier in the morning today at around 4:45 am. Govinda's wife Sunita was in Kolkata at that time. The actor was rushed to the hospital by his manager and daughter Tina.

"We had a 6 am flight to catch for a show in Kolkata and I had reached the airport. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened," the actor's manager said. It is due to God's grace that Govinda ji sustained only a leg injury and it was nothing serious," the manager was quoted by NDTV.
