Exclusive! Heeramandi Actor Jason Shah Reveals If His Career Was Affected After Commenting On Katrina Kaif

Heeramandi has become the talk of the town. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali's OTT series has received mixed response from the critics and audiences. The series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. But, apart from these six actresses, Heeramandi also features other actors who have left a mark with their performances, and one of them is Jason Shah.

Jason plays the role of British officer Cartwright in the series, and he is garnering praises for his performance in Heeramandi. The actor had made his Bollywood debut with a small role in Katrina Kaif starrer Fitoor. He was also a part of Bigg Boss season 10.

During his stint in Bigg Boss 10, Jason had grabbed everyone's attention as while talking to fellow contestants he had alleged that his role in Fitoor was cut short because of Katrina Kaif as the actress wanted to re-shoot a few scenes in the film. Well, after Fitoor, Jason was once again seen in a small role in Thugs Of Hindostan, and was later seen in a few South films, and Hindi TV shows.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Jason and when asked him if he feels that his comment on Katrina affected his career, the actor said, "No, I don't think so. See, you will always get some sort of negativity, but your perspective matters here. I think you are always going to face problems in life, but take it in a positive way, learn from it, make better choices, and keep walking; don't give up on your dream."

"There were many times I could have said 'I am leaving and I am never going to do anything good'. But, I think then I won't be here today. So, I want to tell youngsters, follow your dreams, don't give up because there will be a day when you are going to crack it," he added.

When further asked if he met Salman Khan at the premiere of Heeramandi, Jason said, "I think he had already left before I reached. So, we didn't end up meeting."

Jason Shah Upcoming Movies

While Jason is currently impressing one and all with his performance in Heeramandi, his next film will be Jigra alongside Alia Bhatt. The movie is slated to release in September this year.
