Heeramandi: Sonakshi Sinha REVEALS Why Tilasmi Bahein Dance Was Scrapped, Bhansali Requested 'Junglee Dance'

Sonakshi Sinha Gives Insight On Tilasmi Bahein Choreography: Sonakshi Sinha gave her fans an insight about her Tilasmi Bahein performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi. The actress revealed that the performance of the song was "shot in one take." Sonakshi in Tilasmi Bahein song is seen being drunk. When asked by Richa Chadha whether she actually drank for the performance, Sonakshi replied, "Not a drop." Flaunting her acting skill, Sonakshi added, "Tum logon ko yakeen nahi horaha hai mai itni achhi actor hoon (You guys can't believe that I am a good actor)." The actress then went on to narrate the entire experience of her being featured in son Tilasmi Bahein.

Talking about the choreography of Tilasmi Bahein song, Sonakshi said in an interview with NDTV, "I still don't event know how to narrate this entire experience because I still can't believe that it happened." Sonakshi claimed that her rehearsal for the song started a couple of days before th choreography of the song. The song Tilasmi Bahein was choreographer by Kruti Mahesh. Sonakshi said, " I have landed up on set after rehearsing. We've shot till about 3 PM, done the hook steps that were taught."

The actress then revealed that even though she did the hook step right, the entire thing was scraped by Sanjay Leela Bhansali after he watched the performance. Sonakshi claimed, "Kruti Mahesh choregraphed the song beautifully and suddenly Sanjay Sir said, 'You know what, I don't want to do this' and he scrapped the whole thing on the set that day.""

Sonakshi then revealed that her steps in the song was randomly decided by Bhansali. She explained, "He was calling the ADs, making them dance in front of him, just for inspiration of what all can be used. One guy was dancing like Salman Khan. One guy was dancing like he has been electrocuted with wire. And then he just kept on watching them and I just thought he is entertaining himself." Cut to 7th performance Bhansali asked Sonakshi to get to the table and do "junglee dance." She said, "he says, 'over here you do this then get to the table and you do the junglee dance so well so just do that on the table and the you go and catch the hoot step.'" At the same point it was decided which dance step should Sonakshi do.
