Himesh Reshammiya Father Vipin Reshammiya Funeral Video: In a saddening turn of events, music composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya's father Vipin Reshammiya passed away last night in Mumbai at the age of 87. As per reports, the veteran music director breathed his last on Wednesday night (September 19) at 8:30 PM.

For those unversed, Vipin Reshammiya had produced 'The Xpose' (2014) and 'Teraa Surroor' (2016), which had starred his son Himesh in the lead.

As per reports, Himesh Reshammiya's late father Vipin Reshammiya was facing breathing issues and old age-related ailments. The 87-year-old was reportedly admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

Confirming the death news, Vanita Thapar - close friend to the Reshammiya family - told ETimes, "Yes, he had a breathing problem. He was in Kokilaben and passed away today at 8.30 pm."

"I am a family friend, more like family. I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed in his footsteps. We share a very close bond. Anup Singh, the numerologist, and I were also very close to him," she added.

The funeral of Himesh Reshammiya's late father Vipin Reshammiya took place today (September 19) in Juhu Crematorium. In a video circulating online, the 51-year-old singer can be seen getting emotional as he made his exit from the crematorium after performing the last rites.

Back in 2021 during Indian Idol S12, Himesh Reshammiya revealed that his father had composed a song for late singers Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar which was never released.

He'd captioned the post, "My dad composer Vipin Reshammiya had composed a beautiful track quite a few years back sung by the legendary Lataji and Kishore kumar ji , unfortunately it couldn't be released then ,I feel that it's one of the finest classic melodies of all time which should come out in the market for all music lovers and I will be bringing the song out in the market soon , my dad had composed it with a lot of love and I'm happy that this song will be coming out soon for all of you , give it all your love when it comes out amd you hear it ,we shot for the Kishore Kumar 100 songs special this week and the very talented singers of #indianidol sang beautifully like always lots of love ❤️❤️"
