Himesh Reshammiya’s Father Vipin Reshammiya Passes Away; Funeral To Take Place Today

Himesh Reshammiya's Father Vipin Reshammiya Death: The Bollywood industry came across one of the most heartbreaking news as renowned singer and music composer Himesh Reshammiya's father Vipin Reshammiya passed away. According to media report, Vipin breathed his last at the age of 87. The reports also suggested that he was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where he passed away on September 18. For the uninitiated, Vipin Reshammiya also happens to be a renowned music director.

Vipin Reshammiya Death Reason

Reportedly, Vipin had been suffering from breathing issues and other age related health problems following which he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The unfortunate news was confirmed by Vanita Thapar, Himesh Reshammiya's close friend who told ETimes, "Yes, he had a breathing problem. He was in Kokilaben and passed away today at 8.30 pm. I am a family friend, more like family. I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed his footsteps. We share a very close bond".

Himesh Reshammiya's Father's Funeral

It is reported that Himesh Reshammiya's father Vipin Reshammiya's last rites will take place today (September 19) in Juhu crematorium. Reportedly, his mortal remains will be taken to Himesh's residence wherein the friends and family will be seen paying their last respects.

Himesh Reshammiya's First Collaboration With Vipin Reshammiya

To note, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Himesh Reshammiya had released his first bhajan Ganpati Ganjaanann which marked his first collaboration with Vipin Reshammiya. Interestingly, Himesh has also stated that his father has been his mentor as well. Reportedly, Vipin Reshammmiya had composed music for one of Salman Khan's films and Himesh got a chance to meet him on the sets for the first time. Eventually, Himesh was signed up as a music composed for Salman Khan's 1998 release Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya.
