Rohit Bal Dies At 63: Renowned designer Rohit Bal has passed away at the age of 63. He began his career in 1986 and was celebrated for creating both men's and women's fashion. Reports indicate that Rohit had been battling a prolonged heart condition for the past year. Known for his unique ability to blend traditional aesthetics with contemporary styles, Rohit passed away on Friday.

FDCI Confirms Rohit Bal's Death

Rohit Bal was the founding member of The Fashion Design Council of India. FDCI announced the news of Rohit's demise on Instagram. Uploading the picture of Rohit Bal, FDCI wrote, "The Legend is no more."

Who Is Rohit Bal?

Rohit Bal was born in Srinagar in 1961. He did his schooling at Woodlands House School and Burn Hall School in Srinagar. Later, Rohit's family moved out of Kashmir die to the Islamist insurgency in the 1970s. He along with his family then shifted to Delhi. Rohit graduated from St. Stephens College of Delhi University. Rohit then studied fashion at the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

Rohit Bal recently designed outfits for various Bollywood celebs at Lakme Fashion Week. At Lankem Fashion Week X FDCI's collaboration, Rohit designed outfits for Ananya Pandey and Siddharth Malhotra. Actress Ananya said in an interview, "It's more than I could ever imagine. My parents (Chunky and Bhavana Pandey) have known Rohit Sir for so long. My dad has a jacket by him which I stole from my dad's closet. I treasure it and I am waiting for a special occasion to wear it. When Sir came on stage, it was so emotional and you could feel the respect and admiration people have for him."
