Fighter sequel: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Fighter has been getting an overwhelming response at the box office. Moviegoers have hailed the movie's stunning visuals, cast performances, chemistry, exhilarating aerial scenes, and overall treatment.

Fighter marked Roshan and Padukone's maiden collaboration, whereas it is Hrithik and filmmaker Siddharth Anand's third film together after War and Bang Bang. The film has surpassed Rs 100 crore in the domestic market in just 4 days of its release.

Amidst Fighter success, director Siddharth Anand has opened up about whether he is planning to have a sequel to the movie.

Speaking with Pinkvilla in an interview, Fighter director Siddharth Anand revealed if he is thinking of the movie's sequel. He said, "Yeah, that audience will decide. Abhi dekhte hain abhi 3 hi din hue hain. I think audience ka pyaar will decide what we will do, and we would love to make Fighter 2 a larger story. We have some great ideas that we want to put it down to."

However, he pointed out that he never gets excited to make sequels and that he is among those few directors who have not made any sequels yet. He added, "Every director in this country or rather one of the top directors of the country has all made sequels. There is no director who has not made a sequel. So, I am probably the one who has not made a sequel, and I am refraining from that. I don't want to make sequels yet."

He further added that he likes creating new characters and stories and observed that sequels are a comfortable zone. "You start relying on the nostalgia and try to match that vo mujhe maza nahin, that's where my stagnation will happen. I feel that I may be wrong, but I want to just keep challenging myself," the Pathaan director said.
