Nupur Shikhare's mother, Pritam Shikhare, is a trained Kathak dancer and quite a well-known name in the dance field. She has trained Sushmita Sen in Kathak and even her elder daughter, Renee Sen.

The Main Hoon Na actress once shared a video of her daughter practicing the dance form with Pritam. Sharing the video on IG, Sushmita also referred to her as Guru Maa in the caption. Ira-Nupur will host a sangeet ceremony today in Udaipur. The two will tie the knot tomorrow, January 10, at 4 pm. The couple will host a reception party in Mumbai on January 13 for industry people. Several actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Juhi Chawal, among others.
