Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare registered marriage today: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan, is all set to take a bug plunge in her life today, as she is getting married to her longtime beau, Nupur Shikhare, on January 3, 2024.

The celebrations of the same have already begun with a haldi ceremony, and the couple's family members are seen participating wholeheartedly in the pre-wedding festivities. As per the latest update, Ira and Nupur will get their marriage registered today, January 3, followed by a grand wedding in Udaipur next week.

Further, the bride-to-be's aunt, Nikhat Khan Hegde, had also revealed a few details about the upcoming wedding.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare will register their marriage in Mumbai between 2-4 pm at Taj Ends in the presence of authorities. This will be followed by a grand reception at the same place, with only friends and family in attendance.

The duo will then leave for Udaipur, Rajasthan, where a lavish wedding has been planned for January 8. Another reception will be hosted in Mumbai on Jan13,ry 13 which is expected to be star-studded as several Bollywood celebrities are invited. More details on this part are awaited.

Nikhat Khan Hegde shares some more details about the wedding

Talking to ETimes, Ira's aunt Nikhat revealed that Aamir Khan has been leaving to sing because he wants to perform at his daughter's sangeet. Pinkvilla quoted her as saying, "It will be a more casual sangeet; we will be playing dhol and singing all wedding songs."

"Aamir is learning to sing as well. However, for the wedding songs, it is only the ladies who will be performing. Our family from Banaras, Lucknow and Delhi have come. Reena's side family has come down from Delhi and Punjab."

Earlier, Ira revealed why she wanted to get married on January 3. "We know that we want to get married on January 3, but which year... we haven't decided on that. January 3 is very special for us as that's the date when we first kissed."
