Is Aashiqui 3 Remake Of Baseraa? T-Series Refutes Rumour About Kartik Aaryan Film: Will Reply To Notice

T-Series has addressed rumors and legal notices claiming 'Tu Hai Aashiqui', starring Kartik Aaryan, is a remake of the 1981 film 'Baseraa', stating the film is an original work. The clarification adds to the anticipation for the new installment in the 'Aashiqui' series.

Aashiqui 3 , Kartik Aaryan

In a recent clarification, T-Series has stated that Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film "Tu Hai Aashiqui" is not a remake of the 1981 classic "Baseraa." Speculations and reports had previously suggested that the family of the late producer Ramesh Behl had sent a legal notice to Bhushan Kumar, the head of T-Series, regarding the alleged remake. The notice claimed that "Tu Hai Aashiqui," previously thought to be related to "Baseraa," was infringing on their intellectual property rights.

Addressing these allegations, a spokesperson from T-Series told Times Now, "We would like to clarify, we are not making a remake of Baseraa movie; these are rumours, baseless and false news. We will also be replying to the notice received. The focus of T-Series remains on delivering quality music and entertainment to our audience, and we have no plans to deviate from that mission." This statement has put to rest any rumours regarding the film's connection to "Baseraa," which starred Rakhee, Poonam Dhillon, Rekha, and Shashi Kapoor, and was directed by Ramesh Talwar.

Kartik Aaryan's Dream Project

"Tu Hai Aashiqui," the film now in the spotlight, sees Kartik Aaryan in a leading role, marking a new chapter in the "Aashiqui" franchise. Aaryan expressed his excitement about being part of this project in a conversation with Variety, stating, "The timeless classic 'Aashiqui' is something I grew up watching and working on 'Aashiqui 3' is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful to collaborate with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity." He also shared his anticipation for working with Anurag Basu, the director known for his distinctive storytelling style.

Anurag Basu himself shared his vision for the film, emphasizing the importance of living up to the legacy of the previous "Aashiqui" movies. Basu mentioned, "'Aashiqui' and 'Aashiqui 2' were emotions for the fans that have remained in their hearts till date, the aim is to carry the legacy ahead in the best possible way." With both the lead actor and director expressing such passion for the project, expectations are high for "Tu Hai Aashiqui."

While the rest of the cast has yet to be announced, the film industry and fans alike are eagerly waiting to see who will star opposite Kartik Aaryan in this highly anticipated third instalment of the "Aashiqui" series. The film is expected to commence shooting this year, promising a new romantic saga for audiences to cherish.

As the production progresses, T-Series continues to focus on its mission of delivering high-quality entertainment, with "Tu Hai Aashiqui" slated to be a significant addition to its portfolio. The clarification regarding the film's originality has only added to the anticipation and excitement surrounding its release.
