Meanwhile, talking about the work front, Parineeti is looking forward to the release of Imtiaz Ali's upcoming Imtiaz Ali's upcoming directorial Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljeet Dosanjh. The movie happens to be a biopic on Punjab's renowned singer Amar Singh Chamkila which will be played by Diljit while Parineeti will be seen playing the role of Amarjot Kaur (Chamkila's wife).
Talking about the film, Imtiaz Ali told ANI, "Making Amar Singh Chamkila about the life of the iconic music star of the masses has been a unique journey for me. I could not have asked for better actors than the immensely talented Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra to play in this film, especially since it involves some live singing. The film follows the crazed popularity of Chamkila's daring songs, which society could neither ignore nor swallow". The movie is slated to release on April 12.
