Juhi Chawla Shares How Her Mother-in-law Canceled Her Big Wedding Event Just Before D-day, “Can You Imagine?”

Juhi Chawla Wedding: Juhi Chawla is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood during the 80s and 90s. From being crowned the Miss India in 1984 to working with Bollywood superstars throughout her career, Juhi takes the credit for all. However, the actress got married at the peak of her career which later diverted her interest away from Bollywood. In one of the interviews, she shared how her wedding to Jay Mehta happened and how her mother-in-law canceled a big wedding event just before her wedding, and the reason might melt your heart!

Juhi Chawla Shares How Her Mother-in-law Cancelled Her Big Wedding Event Before The D-day

Revealing that she was crying before her wedding, Juhi said, "I was shooting for some of the really big films of my career, and I was supposed to get married. My mother had just passed a year ago. When the marriage date was coming close, I was thinking my mother is gone, whom I loved the most, and now my career will also go away. I didn't know how to be happy about it. So, I broke down one day and I told my mother-in-law and she said, 'It's okay.' Can you imagine your a mother-in-law doing it for you?"

She further added, "Invitations had gone out to maybe 2000 people. She said, 'Abhi nahi horahi hai (It's not happening now)'. She convinced the family to not have the big wedding and I got married but it was at home with just the family and closest friends. So with just 80-90-100 people the wedding was done. Imagine your mother-in-law cancelling those invitations which had gone out all over the world."
