Deepika Padukone Look For Kalki 2898 AD Pre-Release Event: Deepika Padukone is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, the diva is gearing up for the release of Nag Ashwin's much anticipated release Kalki 2898 AD. The epic dystopian science fiction action film also features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in the lead and is set to hit the theatres on June 27. And while, it is just a week left for Kalki 2898 AD release, the makers have organised a grand pre-release event in Mumbai.

It is reported that the pre-release event will be attended by the entire team of Kalki 2898 AD and the fans are quite excited about the same. And while Deepika is gearing up for Kalki 2898 AD pre-release event, she has taken over the social media by a storm as she dropped a glimpse of her look for the event. Taking to her Instagram handle, the Bajirao Mtani actor shared monochromatic pics of herself slaying in a black dress.

In the pics, Deepika wore a stylish black coloured shoulderless gown and was seen flaunting a heavy baby bump. She was seen having a hearty laugh in the pictures and her pregnancy glow was evidently visible. For the uninitiated, Deepika is expecting her first child with her husband Ranveer Singh and is expected to deliver the baby in September this year.

Meanwhile talking about Kalki 2898 AD, this Nag Ashwin directorial is the first motion picture instalment of the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe and is set in a post-apocalyptic world, in the year 2898 AD. As Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
