Sharing a report of the censor talk about Kalki 2898 AD, a Twitter handle named Box Office has called this Nag Ashwin directorial 'outstanding'. This isn't all. Another Twitter handle shared censor inside report about Kalki 2898 AD which declared the film as 'mind blowing' along with fire emoticons and a champion's trophy emoji.

Interestingly, the makers had recently begun the advance booking for this Nag Ashwin directorial and it has received a phenomenal response across the nation. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to sell over 18 lakhs tickets for the opening day and as minted Rs 48.27 crores from advance booking for the opening day.

According to a tweet shared by trade analyst Sumit Kadel, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to have a bumper opening and will make an opening day collection of Rs 85-105 crores across India Nett. It is likely to mint between Rs 15-20 crores in Hindi.

Meanwhile, as Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
