Kalki 2898 AD: Netizens Call Amitabh Bachchan’s Performance As Ashwatthama A Show Stealer

Kalki 2898 AD Amitabh Bachchan's Performance Review: After creating immense buzz in the town, Nag Ashwin's much anticipated release Kalki 2898 AD has finally hit the screens and the audience can't keep calm about it. The multi-starrer dystopian science fiction film features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in the lead. To note, Kalki 2898 AD, is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD and revolves around Kalki who is the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity, Vishnu.
With a humungous budget of Rs 600 crores, Kalki 2898 is said to be the most expensive films of the Indian film. Given the spectacular star cast, the plot and VFX, everything about Kalki 2898 AD has managed to leave the audience intrigued. For the uninitiated, Prabhas plays the role of Bhairava in the movie along with Deepika playing the role of Sumanti. In fact, Amitabh Bachchan, who has collaborated with Prabhas for the first time, grabbed a lot of eyeballs with his stint as Ashwatthama in the film.
And now that Kalki 2898 AD has finally released, the social media is abuzz with tweets lauding Amitabh Bachchan's performance in the film. Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, a user wrote, "Watched #Kalki2898AD. Few places were slow paced but overall a very good attempt from #NagAshwin. #prabas was on fire. #AmitabhBachchan sir was perfect #KamalHasan sir was too good. #DeepikaPadukone did a great job. I loved everything I saw". One of the Twitter users also wrote, "I don't remember the last time when I shouted for a major supporting role in a film as I shouted for the role of #Ashwatthama. Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
