After all, they have collaborated for the first time in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD. The movie happens to be an epic dystopian science fiction action film which also features Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in the lead. As Kalki 2898 AD is set to release on June 27, the makers had organised a grand pre-release event in Mumbai with the lead cast today.

As Kalki 2898 AD pre-release event was graced by the lead cast, Prabha's adorable gesture towards Deepika Padukone has been winning hearts. For the uninitiated, Deepika Padukone is expecting her first child with her husband Ranveer Singh and was seen flaunting her baby bump during the event. While her pregnancy glow was evidently visible during the event, Prabhas was seen helping the mom to be to get off the stage during the event. Yes! As Deepika was seen trying to get off the stage post her welcome, Prabhas along with megastar Amitabh Bachchan were seen rushing to lend her a hand to get off the stage with ease.

Meanwhile, as Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
