The makers of Nag Ashwin's sci-fi- futuristic drama hosted a grand pre-release event today (June 19) in Mumbai ahead of it's big pan-India release. The starcast of Kalki 2898 AD - Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone graced the event with their magnetic presence.

Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ashwatthama in this high-on-VFX film. His first-look as Ashwatthama left everyone impressed.

During the pre-release event in Mumbai, when he was asked about his first reaction upon hearing the script, Big B hilariously replied, "When Nagi (Nag Ashwin) came and explained to me the idea, for a long time after he'd left I was thinking what the hell has Nagi been drinking."

He further added, "To think of something like this, it's absolutely something outrageous and some of the visuals that you've seen just now are just unbelievable. During the making of the film we realized that he actually got all the material and effects every kind of vision that he had and that really has been an amazing experience. For me just to be a part of it has been a experience I will never forget."
