Karan Johar Takht Shelved Reason
Takht got shelved after facing multiple setbacks according to the reports. After COVID-19 pandemic, the film's shooting schedule had to be postponed, followed by Sushant Singh Rajput's death for which Karan Johar faced massive trolling online and it sparked the nepotism debate. Since, Takht features so many star kids, it was decided to keep the film for later.
Earlier Karan said in his interview, "That film is a piece of my heart. It's got two and a half years of my prep work on it. We were preparing to go. I still remember we were starting on April 24 when the pandemic hit us in March. The film was so enormous, voluminous, and complex that it required a thousand workers on site every day. It was that kind of movie," he said.
For the unversed, Karan Johar was back at director's seat with movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt which did pretty well at the box office.
