Hiroo Yash Johar, the mother of renowned Bollywood director Karan Johar, has been admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Hiroo Johar, 81, has previously faced health issues, undergoing two major surgeries in 2021, but has remained a significant presence in her son's life and on his social media platforms.

The news of Hiroo Johar's hospitalization became public when Karan Johar, accompanied by his close friend and famed designer Manish Malhotra, was spotted arriving at the hospital. Although the specific reason for her admission on December 6, 2024, has not been revealed, recent updates confirm that she is now out of danger. Hiroo Johar has been a crucial part of her son's journey, not just personally but also in his professional life, often appearing alongside her grandchildren, Yash and Roohi, in Karan's posts.
