Exclusive! Kill Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat On His Film Being Compared To Animal, "It's A Huge Compliment"

Kill starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala has become the talk of the town from the day it has been released. The film is undoubtedly the most violent film made in Bollywood, and after its release, Kill was being compared to Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. In fact, a few people on social media also stated that Animal's violence was nothing in front of Kill.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Kill director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, and when asked him about the comparison between his movie and Animal, the filmmaker said, "It's a very huge compliment. Being compared to Animal which is a blockbuster film, and it is a very good film. It is of different genre, but it is a great film. The fact that it has been blockbuster, and seen by so many people and loved by so many people, so if someone is saying that this movie is like Animal or John Wick, then it is a compliment. What else do you want, when your film's name is being taken with so many successful films! It is a huge thing."

Well, nowadays, we see a lot that after the success of a film, the makers turn it into a franchise. When asked Nikhil if they plan to make Kill 2, the director said, "Right now, we are just looking at the love that Kill 1 is getting. I am saying Kill 1; I am already manifesting (smiles). But yes, if there's ample of love and response to the film, you never know, we might make Kill 2."

Kill in 14 days has collected around Rs. 17 crore which is quite good. The movie stars relatively newcomers, and has been doing decently well at the box office. For now, it looks like by the end of its third week, Kill will collection around Rs.22-24 crore.
