According to reports, Malaika Arora's father Anil Arora had died by suicide on Wednesday morning (September 11), a day after the World Suicide Prevention Day. As reported by ANI, Anil Arora jumped off from the terrace of a building in Bandra, Mumbai this morning at around 9 AM.
While the reason behind the suicide is yet to be known, Malaika's father has been taken to a hospital for post-mortem examination. Malaika's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan rushed to her residence to offer support during this tough time immediately after receiving the news of her father passing away.
Who Was Malaika Arora Father Anil Arora?
Malaika Arora's father Anil Arora was worked in the Indian Merchant Navy. He was a Punjabi Hindu who had tied the knot with Joyce Polycarp, a Malayali Christian. Later, they welcomed two daughters - Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora. Last year, he was admitted to the hospital for some heath-related issues.
Malaika was only 11 years old when her parents got divorced. After their separation, the Arora sisters moved to Chembur form Thane with their mom. Talking about her tumultuous childhood and her parents' separation, the actress once said in an interview, "My parents' separation allowed me to observe my mother through a new and unique lens. I learned a rock-steady work ethic and the value of getting up each morning to do whatever it takes to become fiercely independent."
"Those early lessons are the cornerstones of my life and professional journey. I am still fiercely independent; I value my freedom and live life on my terms," she added.
