Malaika Arora Father Suicide EXCLUSIVE: Anil Arora's Neighbour Claims 'He Was Low On Energy Days Before Death'

Malaika Arora father death: Bollywood stars Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora's dad Anil Arora allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the terrace of his building in Mumbai. On Wednesday (September 11) morning, Arora reportedly died of suicide after he jumped off the sixth floor of his building in the Maximum City.

According to a report in PTI, Mumbai Police officers rushed to the spot and shifted Arora to a hospital. However, he was declared dead before arrival. While the officers said that the exact reason behind the death is not known yet, they confirmed that they have started an investigation into the matter.

Police conducted 'panchnama' (inspection) of the spot and collected evidence. The officers also examined the CCTV footage of the building where Arora lived.

Anil Arora's neighbour, who is in her mid 50s, expressed her shock over his demise. In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat. she opened up about their 'family relationship'. "Malaika shared a great bond with Anil Arora. They often partied together. Arhaan, who is Malaika Arora's son, even lived here for a while," she quipped.

"Anil Arora lived on the sixth floor. He shared a good relationship with Joyce despite their divorce. A few days ago, there was a leakage issue in our neighbour's house. Anil personally came to inspect things. He was a jolly person, who often cracked jokes. When I met him a few days ago, he seemed 'low on energy'. Usually, Anil was always happy and mingled with everyone. This time, I found him lacking that energy," she added.

She said that she cannot comment if Anil was suffering from any ailment or faced mental health issues. "I cannot comment on the same but yes, his energy levels were low when we met," she further said.

Malaika Arora's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan was the first celebrity to rush to her residence after he received the tragic news. Her boyfriend Arjun Kapoor and son Arhaan Khan also visited Anil Arora's residence to offer their condolences.
