Malaika Arora's First Post After Father's Demise: Malaika Arora has been making headlines ever since the tragic news of her father's demise came into the limelight this morning. The actress, who was away from town in Pune for an event, was not present when her father killed himself by jumping off of the terrace of his residence. Later, the actress rushed to the location and was seen visibly devastated from the accident. After almost 12 hours later the incident took place, Malaika shared a post with a long note addressing the media and the fans.

Malaika Arora took to Instagram and shared a picture of her father along with a note in which she asked for privacy in this time. She also stated that the whole family is in the state of deep 'shock'. She wrote, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect."

The note was ended with a sign of the family members, including her mother Joyce, sister Amrita, grandchildren Arhaan, Azaan, Rayyan, son-in-law Shakeel, and pets.

After Malaika Arora's father's demise, her mother Joyce opened up to the police and said that they were divorced, however, they have been living together again for the past few years. On Wednesday morning, she saw his slippers in the living room followed by a crowd and watchman shouting for help in the ground floor.

The police had stated, "Anil used to live on the sixth floor. We are carrying out a detailed investigation from all angles... our forensic teams are here for investigation. His body is being sent for postmortem. We are investigating everything... prima facie it looks like suicide, we are conducting further investigation."
