Mallika Rajput Death: Here’s How Kangana Ranaut’s Co-Star Passed Away

Mallika Rajput aka singer Vijay Lakshmi has been all over the headlines today for the most unfortunate reason. The 35 year old actress turned politician was found dead in her residence under suspicious circumstances. For the uninitiated, Mallika grabbed eyeballs with her stint in Kangana Ranaut starrer Revolver Rani. While the news of Mallika's sudden demise has come as a shock to everyone, it has sent a wave of shock and grief among her friends and loved ones.

Mallika Rajput Death Reason

According to media reports, Mallika died by suicide at her Sitakund locality of Kotwali police station area. The media reports suggested that she was found hanging by the ceiling fan in her room.

Talking about the heartbreaking incident, Mallika's mother told India TV, "Earlier the door was closed. And the light was on. We took three rounds but could not open the door. At last, I looked through the window and saw that she was standing there. When I knocked on the door, I saw that our daughter was hanging. I called my husband and others but she was no more". While the cops suspect it to be a case of suicide, the postmortem reports is yet to reveal the exact reason of her demise.

Meanwhile, talking about Mallika, apart from Revolver Rani, she is also known for her political career. She joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2016 but failed to do wonders. Mallika was later appointed as National Secretary General of the Bharatiya Savarna Sangh in Uttar Pradesh in 2022.
