Mithun Chakraborty health update: Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata. The BJP leader was hospitalized after he complained of chest pain on Saturday (February 10) morning. His team is yet to issue an official statement about his health.

MITHUN CHAKRABORTY IN HOSPITAL- WHAT HAPPENED?

According to a report in India Today, Mithun felt uneasy and his family members immediately took him to a private hospital in the city. He is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital. Details about his condition have not been shared by his team. His sons Mimoh, Namashi and daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma are yet to release a statement about his health.

However, Mahaakshay Chrakborty, while talking to a portal, provided an update about Mithun's health. He confirmed that his father is doing fine. Amid rumours of Mithun's hospitalisation, his son Mimoh clarified that he was admitted for a routine check-up.

"It's just a routine check-up. He is fine," the actor told ETimes. Fans breathed a sigh of relief when Mimoh confirmed that Mithun is fine. As the veteran actor is not active on Instagram or X, fans flooded the comments section of his son's posts with their messages.

Last month, Mithun Chakraborty was conferred with the Padma Bhushan Award. He had expressed his gratitude toward the government and his fans. "I am proud and elated to receive the award.
