Exclusive! Is Munjya Connected To Shraddha Kapoor Starrer Stree 2? Mona Singh & Sharvari Reveal

Munjya: While Rohit Shetty has Cop Universe, Aditya Chopra has Spy Universe, Dinesh Vijan has horror-comedy universe. Till now, in Vijan's horror-comedy universe, we have seen characters like Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya, and soon we will get to watch the fourth character of the universe, Munjya on the big screens. Well, mostly these movies are connected with each other like in the climax of Bhediya we were given a hint of Stree 2.

There were reports that maybe Munjya is a prequel to Stree (2018) and even netizens have been connecting some dots. Filmibeat recently interacted with the cast of the film, Mona Singh, Sharvari, and Abhay Verma.

When asked them if there's a connection between Munjya and Stree 2, Sharvari said, "This you will come to know on 7th June." Mona added, "It's a franchise of Stree, so obviously you will get to know."

While of course, Sharvari and Mona didn't actually reveal much about it, but the way the latter said 'you will get to know' we are thinking that maybe there will be a connection between both the films.

Further while talking about the folklore of Munjya, Sharvari said, "I knew about it because I am a Maharshtrian. I had heard in my village that there's a story of Munjya, and later on, I had also heard people saying 'Munjya aa jaayega khana khaa lo' 'Sou jao warna Munjya aajayega'."

Munjya Release Date

Munjya is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, and it is slated to release on 7th June 2024. The trailer and the song of the film have grabbed everyone's attention. So, let's wait and watch what response the movie will get at the box office.

Stree 2 Release Date

Talking about Stree 2, it is clearly one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie is slated to release on 30th August 2024. It stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles.
