Exclusive! Naman Jain On His Iconic Raanjhanaa Scene, "I Was Starstruck To Work With Dhanush Sir"

Naman Dhanush 2

Naman Jain is currently busy garnering praises for his performance in Crushed season 4. But, the actor has been working since the time he was a child and has been a part of many famous movies like Raanjhanaa, Jai Ho, Bombay Talkies, and more. During the climax of Raanjhanaa, there's a scene where younger Kundan (Naman) is running one side, and the adult Kundan (Dhanush) is walking the other side. The scene has become iconic and there are many reels and memes being made on it.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Naman and spoke to him about the scene. When asked him how he feels about his iconic scene in the film, the actor said, "I will tell you a story. When we shot it, I was starstruck to work with Dhanush sir and Aanand L Rai sir. I was just enjoying the vibe of Banaras, and you know that scene wasn't there in the script, it was just an addition by the director like an experiment about how it will look. So, we were on set and he (Rai) guided us that Dhanush sir will come this way and I am going that way. He told me you just run and you look at him and go. So, that's what we did, and I had no idea back then what importance does that scene hold, how beautiful it is to the eye, nd how does it make sense to the story."

Naman Jain On Raanjhanaa Reels

Further talking about the reels on the scene, Naman said, "I genuinely haven't missed one single reel on that, I have seen it all. Majority of them, whatever I see I like because I love it and all of them are so relatable. I saw one was about Sachin going and Virat coming, something like that; all of these things are so iconic. So, it's very very heart-touching and I am beying blessed to be a small part of such a beautiful and big film."

Aanand L Rai's Raanjhanaa was released in 2013, but till now, it is regarded as his best work. The movie marked the Bollywood debut of Dhanush and he had impressed one and all with his performance in the film. Even the songs of the movie are still remembered.
