Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Lara Dutta To Play Ranbir's Step-Mom? Bobby Deol In Talks For THIS Role
Ramayana Full Cast: Following the tremendous success of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his next project, teaming up with director Nitesh Tiwari for the grand Ramayana, co-starring Sai Pallavi. The actor is repotedly scheduled to kick off shooting in Mumbai on March 2, with an additional filming schedule slated for April and May 2024. The excitement surrounding this cinematic extravaganza is at its peak.

While an official announcement regarding the Ramayana shoot and its star cast is still awaited, the reports suggest that director Nitesh Tiwari has roped in some of the biggest names to play pivotal roles in the mythological drama. We're saying so because there are speculations that Animal star Ranbir Kapoor has been signed to essay the lead role of Lord Rama in the much-hyped trilogy.
On the other hand, Sai Pallavi is set to make her Bollywood debut with Ramayana and KGF star Yash is supposed to essay the main antagonist Ravan in the trilogy project. Amid all this, the latest reports suggest that the makers have now roped in another popular actress for the project.
LARA DUTTA TO PLAY KAIKEYI IN RAMAYANA?
Well, we're talking about talented actress Lara Dutta. According to a Pinkvilla reports, Lara Dutta has been roped in to play the character of Kaikeyi in Ramayana. Yes, you read that right!
Revealing the same, a source informed the portal, "Nitesh Tiwari wants to cast actors who are apt to play the characters belonging to the most timeless tale of Indian History. He feels Lara Dutta is perfect to play the part of Princess Kaikeyi, the third consort of King Dasharatha. It's a pivotal character that leads to the entire conflict in Ramayana, and Lara is excited to entire the fantastical world of Nitesh Tiwari."
Not just that, the report also states that Deol brothers - Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol have been approached to essay Hanuman and Kumbhakaran in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. However, nothing is yet confirmed. Hence, let's wait for the official confirmation.
If the news turns out to be true then Lara Dutta will be seen playing Ranbir Kapoor's step-mother onscreen. Interestingly, the duo has an age difference of just four years in real life.
