Pakistani Actor Imran Abbas talks about India: Imran Abbas is a prominent star in Pakistan who has also worked in India. Over the past decades, the actor has cemented a strong name for himself in Lollywood and has been a part of several superhit drama serials.
He debuted in Bollywood opposite Bipasha Basu with the 2014 film Creature 3D and was loved by all. The 41-year-old star has always been vocal about his choices and work and recently appeared as a guest on the Footprints podcast, where he discussed various aspects of his life, travel experiences, and how things have changed over the years.
He also shared how, despite having political tensions between India and Pakistan, we share so many things in common and that he has made many good friends in Bollywood.
Imran Abbas talks about his love for India
Talking to Rj Syed Ali and Hina Altaf on their podcast FootPrints, IMran Abbas shared that he has travelled to India numerous times and loved its infrastructure. Sharing that he loved Delhi airport, the actor stated that it is way better than many international airports all over the world.
He mentioned that the first thing that you notice when you reach India is their airports. Sharing his love for Delhi airport, he said, "I am so impressed with Delhi airport. Mindblowing artwork. Aur unhone apne airport pe pura apna mulk bata diya hai uska arts kya hai, uski culture kya hai, uski economy kya hai. And especially jo unhone medium use kiya hai uss artwork ke liye wo itne innovative aur itne kamal ke hai. Maine bohot bade bade airport dekhe hai, lekin Delhi ka airport ek shaandaar namoona hai logo ko seekhne ke liye ki aapke mulk mein koi aaye toh aap batate hai ki ye culture hai hamara."
Imran Abbas reveals receiving offers from Bollywood
In the same podcast, Imran Abbas stated that he had received plenty of offers from Bollywood's big production houses, such as Yash Raj, Dharma, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Raj Kumar Santoshi, T-Series, Tips, and Raj Kumar Hirani, for lead actor roles.
However, he ended up doing a film like Creature 3D, which was a flop. "Mujhe toh bohot accha laga. Mere bohot pyaare dost hai udhar. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is my very dear friend. Mona Kapoor, jo ki Boney Kapoor ki ex-wife thi, wo meri rakhi bandhan behen thi. I made so much of my friends, mere khyaal se mere best friends India mein hi hai abhi. Toh mujhe toh Bombay jake bohot homely feel aaya tha," he expressed.
He also shared that his Creature 3D co-star, Bipasha Basu, is a very good travel partner. The actor also called "Lucknow" his favourite Indian city for its culture and etiquette.
Apart from Creature 3D, Imran Abbas has also worked in Jaanisaar and had a guest appearance in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Up next, the actor will be seen in the Indian Punjabi flick 'Jee Vey Sohneya Jee', which is scheduled to release worldwide on February 16.
