After the global success of RRR, director SS Rajamouli has joined hands with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu for his next directorial. Tentatively titled SSMB 29, the high-budget film, set against the backdrop of an epic adventure, is said to go on floors in January 2025, as said by writer Vijayendra Prasad during his 'Master Class' .

Amid the excitement, a Pinkvilla report recently claimed that the makers have roped in Priyanka Chopra Jonas to play the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu in Rajamouli's film, marking PeeCee's return to Indian cinemas after 6-long-years.

However, the latest report suggests otherwise. According to the latest Times Now report, there's no truth behind the Priyanka Chopra angle. A source close to the project went on to claim that Rajamouli hadn't event met Priyanka regarding this film.

Debunking the ongoing rumours, the source told Times Now, "We don't know where this came from. I mean, Rajamouli hasn't even met her(Priyanka Chopra) for this project. The story claims Raja has met her on several occasions to discuss the project. Could we have some more details of these meetings, please? So we would know how to proceed with the casting? (sic)"

The source concluded, "Apart from Mahesh Babu, no other actor has been roped in for the project. Raja and his father (writer Vijayendra Prasad) first want to lock in the script. Only then would the rest of the cast be decided. And no, Priyanka Chopra is not even a possibility.(sic)"
