Queen 2: Kangana Ranaut Starrer To Get A Sequel, Confirms Vikas Bahl - Deets Inside

In 2014, Vikas Bahl's Queen starring Kangana Ranaut had hit the big screens. The movie became a super hit at the box office, and made Kangana a superstar. It's been 10 years since the film released, but still people remember it, and the song London Thumakda is a part of mostly every Indian wedding. There were reports of a sequel to Queen happening, and recently, in an interview, Vikas confirmed that the script of the film is ready.

While talking to News 18 Showsha, the filmmaker said, "It is going to be ten years of Queen's release but the number of people who keep asking me about Queen 2 makes me feel like the film released just yesterday! However, I am happy to say that we have actually finished writing our story. So, yes, the sequel should happen."

Vikas further revealed that he didn't want to make the film just for money with mediocre script. "If I didn't feel the pressure of matching up to the expectations that people have from the sequel, I would have already made it four years back just for money," the filmmaker added.

Last year, when Vikas had revealed that the script of Queen 2 is being written, and Kangana will return in the sequel, the actress on her Insta story had confirmed by posting, "Yessss." Kangana had also won a National Award for her performance in Queen.

Well, we are sure fans of Kangana will be super excited to watch her as Rani once again on the big screens. The actress has been mainly doing serious films from the past few years, so it will surely be nice to watch her once again in a slice-of-life film.

Queen also stared Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, so it will be interesting to see whether the actor will return in the sequel or not. Let's wait and watch.

Meanwhile, Vikas Bahl is gearing up for the release of Shaitaan which stars Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika in the lead roles. The movie will hit the big screens on 8th March 2024.
