Raj Kundra was summoned by ED for a joint hearing on Monday, December 2. The reports confirm that Raj Kundra did not appear for the hearing. He reportedly urged for more time to prepare for the investigation. Rescheduling the hearing, the ED has asked Raj Kundra to appear on Wednesday, December 4. Linked to the same money laundering investigation of production and distribution of pornographic content, actress Gehana Vasisth is also summoned for questioning on Monday, December 9, 2024.

What Has Happened In Raj Kundra's Case

Raj Kundra found himself embroiled in legal trouble in July 2021 when he was arrested by the Mumbai police on suspicion of money laundering related to the production and distribution of pornographic content. After spending time in custody, he was granted bail by the Supreme Court on December 13, 2022. The investigation led to raids in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the freezing of several bank accounts. During the probe, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized assets worth Rs. 98 Crore from Mumbai and Pune. The ED's focus remains on tracing the money trail and identifying any violations related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
