Ramayana: Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayana is one of the biggest movies in Bollywood currently. The pan-Indian film has been making headlines for several reasons from ensemble cast to pictures leak, controversy and what not. Now, an exclusive report by Pinkvilla suggests that the director has roped in another talented actor to play the role of Indra Dev.
Who Is Going To Play The Role Of Indra Dev In Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana?
Well, according to the reports, Kunal Kapoor will play the role of Indra Dev in the Nitesh Tiwari Ramayana. A source close to the development said to Pinkvilla, "Kunal Kapoor will start shooting for his part in August and the actor is excited to play the part of Indra Dev. The actor understands that it's a big responsibility, and is excited to embark on this journey."

The pan-Indian film stars talented actors like Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravan, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Bankrolled by DNEG, makers started the shooting of the film in March 2024 and aiming to conclude it by October (Dussehra) or November (Diwali) while it is expected to be released by mid 2026.
The source has also added that the makers are planning to release a video with an official announcement later this year, "A film as big and as pure as Ramayana will get the announcement it deserves. The makers are working on a visually rich asset to present their work of passion to the audience."
For the unversed, AR Rahman is collaborating with Interstellar background score fame, Hans Zimmer, for the background music and album of the movie. Ramayana, which is going to be released in two parts previously told Pinkvilla, "Given the scale and magnitude of the film, the makers have opted for a two-part approach to tell the story. While most in the business await the results of part one before taking the second one on floors, Ramayana will be shot simultaneously."
