"Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama", the 1999 Japanese-Indian anime film, will be updated with new dubs in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu alongside its original English version for its first-ever theatrical release in India, the distributors said on Saturday. Directed by Yugo Sako, Ram Mohan and Koichi Sasaki, the animated film will hit the cinema halls on October 18 in the 4K format.

Initially, Fawad Khan-Mahira Khan starrer highest-grossing Pakistani film 'The Legend Of Maula Jatt' was scheduled to release in cinemas in India on 2nd October 2024. However, the release of the film India has gotten cancelled due to the ongoing ban on Indian films in Pakistan since 2019 allegedly.

Koratala Siva's directorial "Devara: Part 1" has grossed over Rs 172 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day of its release, the makers announced on Saturday. Fronted by Jr NTR, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, both marking their Telugu cinema debut.

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to make another mark with Dhoom 4, and it has already been finalized. A source confirmed, “The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest to be a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea, and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy."

Fawad Khan's Pakistani movie The Legend Of Maula Jatt gets stalled for India release. The decision was taken after noting that no Indian film has been released in Pakistan after 2019. Maharashtra Nava Nirman Sena has lent a voice against it and said, "We will not entertain any Pakistani film or actors in India." He further added, "This movie will not be released. If this happens, there will be a strong agitation."

The Koratala Siva film has already beaten the Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's film, Stree 2 in terms of day 1 box office collection. The film has minted Rs. 70 Cr at the box office, while Stree 2 has earned Rs. 60 Cr at the box office.

Daniel Radcliffe mourned the death of Harry Potter co-star Maggie Smith's death as the veteran actor passed away on September 27 at the age of 89. Radcliffe, who worked with Smith in Harry Potter and his debut film, David Copperfield, said, “I will always consider myself amazingly lucky to have been able to work with her and to spend time around her on set. The word legend is overused but if it applies to anyone in our industry then it applies to her. Thank you Maggie.”
