Ranveer Singh-Prasanth Varma's Rakshas Shelved Reason: Ranveer Singh has been one of the finest actors in the industry who has given us several iconic films. Recently, Ranveer made the headlines after he joined hands with ace filmmaker Prasanth Varma for the much anticipated Rakshas. To note, there have been endless speculations about the movie being delayed and even shelved. The media reports suggested a rift between Ranveer and director Prasanth Varma. And now, makers have finally cleared the air about Rakshas and confirmed that the project is shelved as the director and actor have parted ways. In an official statement, the team revealed that it has been a mutual decision and believe it isn't the ideal time for this project.

As per the statement shared by Vamsi Shekar, it read as, "Recently, rumours have been going around that the film Rakshas which was said to be directed by Prasanth Varma and headlines by powerhouse Ranveer Singh - the duo, decided to part ways on the project due to creative differences. Amid speculations from various industry sources, the makers and actor have now cleared their stance and addressed the ongoing developments. Prasanth Varma, Mythri Movie Makers and Ranveer Singh have now clarified with their official statements. Talking about it, Ranveer Singh mentioned, "Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully we will collaborate on something exciting in the future". Prasantth Varma said, "Ranveer's energy and talent is rare to find. We shall manifest our forces combining soon sometime in the future"".

Needless to say, the news has left the fans quite heartbroken. Meanwhile, Ranveer will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again which also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead. Besides, he is also gearing up embrace fatherhood as his wife Deepika is expecting their first child and they are expected to welcome the munchkin in September this year.
