The Emeritus of Tata Sons passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday (October 9) in a Mumbai hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Bollywood actors like Ajay Devgn, Neetu Kapoor among others have offered their condolences over his death.

The renowned businessman and philanthropist Ratan Tata breathed his last on Wednesday. According to reports, the late industrialist was allegedly admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Reportedly, he was in a critical condition in the ICU (intensive Care Unit).

Soon after the news of Ratan Tata passing away came out, PM Narendra Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) and mourned over his death. Sharing a picture of him with Ratan Tata, Modi wrote, "Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India's oldest and most prestigious business houses."

He added, "At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness and an unwavering commitment to making our society better."

While the entire country is grieving the loss of Ratan Tata's death, the beloved businessman' last Instagram post is going viral on the internet. In his last Insta post, the business tycoon had dismissed the speculations about his health.

On Monday (October 7), late Ratan Tata took to his Instagram and revealed that he was "undergoing medical check-ups" due to his age and "related medical conditions".

"There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media respect refrain from spreading misinformation," he had further added in his statement.
