Ratan Tata death reason: Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, left for his heavenly abode on Wednesday (October 9) evening. He was 86. The industrialist was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital for treatment of age-related ailments.

Considered one of the most respected personalities in Indian business, Ratan Tata actively contributed to the welfare of the people by focusing on improving the quality of life.

WHAT TATA SONS SAID ABOUT RATAN TATA DEATH?

"It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly
uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation. For the Tata Group, Mr. Tata was more than a chairperson. To me, he was a mentor, guide and friend. He inspired by example. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation, the Tata Group under his stewardship expanded its global footprint while always remaining true to its moral compass," N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, said in a statement.

"On behalf of the entire Tata family, I extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we strive to uphold the principles he so passionately championed," the statement further read.

Ratan Tata reportedly died due to age-related ailments.

    The Tata Group has announced that Ratan Tata's mortal remains will be available for public homage today at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) Lawns in South Mumbai.
