Sai Godbole interview: She is a multi-talented artist, who is the queen of hearts on social media. From entertaining her fans with her singing skills to showcasing emotions in her performances, she has grabbed several eyeballs. There's no prize for guessing that we are talking about the one and only Sai Godbole.

Sai Godbale has been the talk of the town ever since she signed a film with veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai. Filmibeat interacted with the singer-actor-dancer to talk about her new project, collaboration with American singer Lauv and a lot more.

1- Congratulations for bagging a Subhash Ghai film. He is a living legend. How excited are you for the project?

Thank you so much! He truly is. I'm extremely excited and at the same time still processing the fact that my debut film as a lead is being produced by the legend. I'm really proud of the film and I can't wait for everyone to experience it!

2- Can you tell us about your role?

It was my mom's friend, Miss Sharmila Shinde who called me for the audition, and when I auditioned it felt so perfect like the role was written for me. I resonated with the character immediately and was so excited to tell her story and play her. I can only say that she's a British Marathi girl who is great at a popular Indian sport and has a secret.

3- Subhash sir penned a heartfelt note for you. The gesture is too sweet to be described in words. Tell us about your thoughts about the same.

He is so kind with his words of encouragement and I feel so blessed to have my work be noticed by him. It means a lot to me and I'm very grateful. We have this running joke that all SG's are really cool so these words from one SG (Subhash Ghai) to another (Sai Godbole) feel special.

4- Singer, actor, dancer- you're a box of talent. What's the secret behind the magic that you spill on the screen? Fans are in awe of your Instagram reels and especially the Arjit Singh titles in one song' reel.

This is so kind of you to say! Thank you so much. The secret is just that, the love with which I make every single thing, is received with the same or maybe more love by my audiences and supporters. This is something I'm so grateful for.

5- How was your interaction with American singer Lauv? We are gushing over the cute moment.

Oh it was so surreal! His energy is so precious, and he's so real and kind. It felt like a dream because his song 'I like me better' was the anthem of my late teenage years and the fact that I got to sing it to him, for him and also with him was unreal to me!

6- I have closely followed your mumma's work. She is such a fine artist. Has she given you any tips for your career? Can we expect a collaboration in the near future?

She is the best! She is my favorite artist of all time, not only because she is extremely talented but also because she does everything with so much love, discipline, dedication and dignity.
It's really special that I can come home from the set and have conversations with her that she fully understands and can give me advice about. She's my best friend and the first person I call for everything and working alongside her would be my honor so I hope the collaboration happens soon!
