Salman Khan House Firing Case Accused Dies: Salman Khan House Firing Case Accused Dies: Days after firing incident outside Salman Khan's house, one of the accused Anuj Thapan has allegedly died in Police custody. It is reported that Anuj (32) was one of the two arms suppliers and was arrested for allegedly supplying guns to shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal who had shot multiple rounds of bullets outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra on April 14.

While all the four accused were booked under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) lately, the recent report suggested that Anuj died by suicide. According to a report published in the Hindustan Times, Anuj was found hanging inside the toilet and was rushed to the state-run GT Hospital wherein he was brought dead by the doctors.

While the media reports suggested that an accidental death report will be registered at Azad Maidan police station in south Mumbai, Former Maharashtra senior police officer PK Jain told NDTV that all the cops in the police station will be questioned by the CID as any death in a lock-up is reported as a murder case.

"There have been cases when people have died by suicide with a noose made from pajamas inside lock-ups... A policeman always guards the lock-up to ensure inmates don't escape, and also to keep an eye on suicide attempts," he added.

Earlier, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's younger brother Anmol Bishnoi took responsibility of the attack on social media and called it as first and last warning to the actor. It is also reported that Salman has been on Bishnoi's hitlist for a while.

To note, the attack took place just few days after Salman Khan announced his next project as Sikandar which will be hitting the theatres on Eid next year. The movie is helmed by AR Murugadoss and makes the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor's first collaboration with the director.
