Salman Death Threat Case: Rajasthan Man Arrested For Threatening Actor; Claims To Be Lawrence Bishnoi's Fan

A recent development in the ongoing investigation into death threats against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man in Karnataka This arrest stemmed from a message threatening Salman Khan's life, demanding an apology at a Bishnoi community temple, or a ransom of Rs 5 crore. The police swiftly acted on this tip, tracing the suspect behind the ominous threat.
The individual apprehended has been identified as Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, a resident of Jalore, Rajasthan. On November 6, 2024, the Karnataka police handed him over to Maharashtra Police for further questioning. Anshu Kumar, Haveri Superintendent of Police, confirmed the arrest, which was made possible through information provided by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad. The man had moved to Haveri about one and a half months prior, after spending time in various locations across Karnataka. He found employment on construction sites while residing in a rented room in Goudar Oni.
According to police sources, Ram made a call to the Mumbai Police control room while watching a regional news channel, during which he claimed to issue the death threat to Salman Khan. Describing himself as a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Ram is primarily a daily wage worker. His claims are currently under scrutiny by the Mumbai Police, who are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the full extent of this plot.
The threat against Salman Khan was initially made public when the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Room received a message from someone purporting to be Lawrence Bishnoi's brother. The message starkly warned that Salman Khan must either seek forgiveness at the specified temple or forfeit Rs 5 crore, failing which his life would be in danger as the gang remains operative.
Amid these threats, Salman Khan has been engrossed in the production of his new film, Sikandar, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. This action-packed movie is eagerly awaited by fans and is slated for release on Eid 2025.
