The excitement for Sarfira is palpable. Its trailer quickly became the most-watched on YouTube within 24 hours, and on IMDb, Sarfira was listed as the most anticipated film of the month. The film, produced by Abundantia Entertainment, 2D Entertainment, and Cape of Good Films, is based on the true story of GR Gopinath, the pioneer of cost-effective aviation for the masses.

Sarfira is a remake of Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru (2020), starring Suriya and Aparna Balamurali. Inspired by G. R. Gopinath's memoir Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey, the film revolves around a determined individual's mission to establish budget-friendly airlines for the underprivileged, while encountering various adversaries along the way.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CFBC) granted the film a U (Universal) certificate after the removal of some derogatory words. It also features Paresh Rawal, Seema Biswas, and R. Sarathkumar among others in pivotal roles.

SARFIRA ADVANCE BOOKING UPDATE

According to a report from Sacnilk.com, the Akshay Kumar-led film has garnered over Rs 24 lakh in advance bookings for its opening day. The report indicates that 12,102 tickets have been sold for 3,269 shows, resulting in Rs 24.04 lakh in revenue from the Hindi version alone.
