Exclusive! Shaitaan Box Office: Is Ajay Devgn Starrer Heading For A Good Start? Film Business Expert Reveals

Shaitaan Box Office: Ajay Devgn will be having multiple releases this year, and his first release will be, Shaitaan, which is all set to hit the big screens on 8th March 2024. The film, which also stars R Madhavan and Jyotika, is a remake of the Gujarati film Vash which was released last year. The trailer of Shaitaan has grabbed everyone's attention, and though the promotions have been minimal it has created a good pre-release buzz.

Filmibeat recently interacted with producer and film business expert, Girish Johar, and spoke to him about Shaitaan. When asked him about the buzz of the movie, Johar said, "The buzz is very good, seeing the genre it is, I am quite excited. The trailer has received a phenomenal response, and with Ajay Devgn and Madhavan, I am sure this will have a good start at the box office."

Remakes have not been doing that well, but Drishyam 2, starring Ajay Devgn, which came in 2022, did very well at the box office. Shaitaan is a remake of Gujarati film Vash, and when asked Girish Johar whether that will affect at the box office, he said, "No, I don't think so. At the end of the day, if its a well-made film, everyone will watch it. The Gujarati film had also done well, but I don't think that it will be a hindrance because Gujarati film audience and pan-India audience has a vast difference. So, I think there's a market and the promotions are also good."

Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction

When asked about the opening day collection, Girish Johar said, "I will be happy if it touches around Rs. 8-10 crore mark. But, box office is very dymanic. If the film doesn't reach the expectations, then it can come down to Rs. 5-6 crore. But, around Rs. 8 crore will be a good start."

Shaitaan is directed by Vikas Bahl, and it will mark Jyotika's comeback in Hindi films after a gap of 23 years.
