Shanthi Priya Mourns Ghazal Legend Pankaj Udhas' Demise: I Hope His Soul Rests In Peace

Legendary vocalist Pankaj Udhas died succumbing to pancreatic cancer on February 26, 2024, A talented vocalist who has written numerous great songs, he was also given a Padma Shri award. We had the pleasure of speaking with actress Shanthi Priya, who opened up to us about her feelings on the news of Pankaj Ji. A guy with a golden voice leaves us all with his renowned melodies.

On setting her grief Actress Shanthi Priya says " I'm really very sorry, Farida. I've heard about Pankaj ji and my condolence to the family and the kids. Because we go a long way." She says that she lives in South Bombay, pedder road, Carmichael Road. Additionally, both Reva, the daughter of Pankaj ji, and her son Shubham attended the same elementary school The Cathedral and John Connon school.

The heroine of the 1991 film Saugandh, Shanthi Priya, evoked recollections of her early years spent with Pankaj ji's family. "In his house and my house, we had wonderful moments, wonderful moments as a family." The actress felt a personal connection to him since she would always remember the beautiful song "Chupana bhi nhi Aata," which Pankaj ji sang for her husband in the film Baazigar. It was an instant smash that she would never be able to forget. She said "Pankaj ji has sung for my husband, Baazigar, Chupana Bhi Nain Aata," she said that music is timeless and still timeless today.

She finally concluded by saying, "My sincere condolences to the family. I'm so sorry to hear this and I hope his soul rests in peace."
