It was a registered marriage which took place at Sonakshi's residence in the presence of the couple's family and close friends. Interestingly, the bride's proud father Shatrughan Sinha can't keep calm about Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding and was seen sharing his excitement about the actress' big event. Talking to Times Now, the veteran actor stated, "Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is given to her chosen groom. My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe. I would like all my fans, friends constituents to bless the couple. 44 years ago, Shatrughan Sinha married a very successful, very beautiful, very talented girl of his choice, Poonam Sinha. Now it is Sonakshi's turn to marry the boy of her choice".

Meanwhile, Sonakshi has shared the first glimpse of her wedding ceremony on social media as she finally tied the knot with beau Zaheer after dating him for 7 years. The stunning bride opted for a cream coloured heavily embroidered saree. She had completed the look with a back bun which was decorated with a gajra. On the other hand, Zaheer complemented the bride in a white kurta pyjama.

As of now, it is reported that post Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding, the couple will be hosting a grand reception in Mumbai tonight. Sharing the details about the wedding reception, DJ Ganesh told Dubai Brew that it will be a complete Bollywood style party at Bastian in Dadar. He revealed that around 1000 guests have been invited. "I think it will be a full-on Bollywood mix-off until 4 in the morning," he added. It is reported that celebs like Salman Khan, Tabu, Honey Singh, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, the cast of Heeramandi sans Manisha Koirala, etc will also be a part of this grand wedding reception.
